A storyteller at heart.
I began my career in industrial marketing, client-side, working primarily on product development. From there, I joined what was then termed a Below The Line agency. This is where I not only discovered my passion for brands, but I also realised that a creative business was where I really needed to be.
I’m a storyteller at heart and believe that the most successful creative tells a compelling story that captures both the head and the heart. It’s how brands express relevance to customers. This has been a guiding principle for me, not only in a creative sense, but also business.
It’s driven me to build a business that is dynamic, ethical, and a platform for creativity, within a highly collaborative environment. Where talented, driven people can truly thrive.
My focus at Spruik is to continually generate unprecedented value for our clients while growing our culture. A culture that has proven to be resilient and empowering for the people who are part of it, both agency and client side.
In my free time I am either working on or talking about classic cars.
Jon Dunn
Managing Director
Great relationships make great business.
My role as Business Director is focussed on ensuring that our client relationships continue to flourish and that we are on the right strategic path as an agency.
I galvanise the team, encouraging them to strategically partner with our clients from the very outset. This means having total confidence in our team to deliver outstanding levels of visionary, strategic and creative work – day in, day out.
My “yes” approach, combined with the ability to distil complex briefs and a natural understanding of commercial reality, means that I am able to oversee the most challenging projects. Often gently nudging boundaries. Questioning expectations to ensure the utmost effectiveness in strategy and execution for our clients.
I have worked with a multitude of brands through-out my career. From complex multi-national organisations to brand new start-ups. The common thread is that each brand has a challenge to solve, sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes it’s buried deep within the business. Either way, it’s our job to find it, define it, and ultimately nail it!
Outside of the studio, you’ll find me either planning the next stage of my garden or striving for a straight line on my mower.
Kathryn Dunn
Business Director
Foster collaboration.
I’m a firm believer in critical thinking and the crucial connection between strategy and creative.
In my role as Creative Director, my objective is to build, lead and inspire the design studio by setting the creative standard. That is; continually striving and encouraging our designers to demonstrate high-level conceptual thinking, combined with strong design craftsmanship.
I have been fortunate to have worked around the world over the past 16 years, building my experience in design and advertising roles in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. As an award-winning Art Director, I have extensive experience in consumer advertising, brand marketing and health and wellness communication. Working on brands from Bluescope Steel, to Toohey’s Brewery, to National Influenza Vaccination campaigns.
My communication and design experience means that I’m always looking for the perspective that connects to the strategic thinking. Taking brands into the future.
My passions are art, landscape painting and my kids! All fantastic sources of inspiration for rich cultural meaning and creative storytelling.
Stacey Morrissey
Creative Director
Bringing concepts to life.
My passion is bringing concepts to life through design – specialising in brand identity, editorial, and packaging design. Throughout my career I’ve helped a diverse range of clients – from local start-ups to international brands, translate their vision across campaigns and a diverse range of media.
At Spruik, I’m involved in the design process from concept to execution.
This involves collaborating with our clients and internal team to understand the clients needs, and by brainstorming creative solutions, ensuring all design elements align with their brand strategy. I’m always looking to learn new skills, whether it’s learning a new programme, or exploring new ways to communicate an idea.
Away from my desk, you’ll find me catching my toddler at the beach – or looking after my newborn, watching basketball or American football, or hunting down my favourite players sports cards for my collection.
Nicholas Walker
Senior Designer
Organisation and community management.
At Spruik I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the studio. Ensuring the seamless coordination between the studio and the needs of our clients. Previous roles as a business analyst and project coordinator means I can quickly foresee and resolve potential issues at any stage of a project. It’s both an art and a science!
While my primary focus is managing production output, I am also responsible for the oversight of our social community management programmes. This means managing content, reviewing analytics and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure that all social campaigns meet our clients’ goals and the agency’s standards of delivery.
Outside of the studio, when I’m not wrangling my dogs named Blue and Dee, I can be found at the gym or up to my elbows in a craft project.
